Like many people, EyeSight Hawaii strives to incorporate sustainable business practices into our daily activities. When choosing to do business with a company, many people want to know about a its green policies and we would like to share with you our green efforts.
Recycling
We use office paper made from recycled materials and we recycle whatever we can:
- glass
- plastic
- ink
- boxes
- paper and newspapers
- packing material
- even large electronic equipment such as old monitors.
No more styrofoam
We like offering our patients a nice cup of tea or coffee but we don’t like the typical disposable cups so we have trasitioned from styrofoam coffee cups to more biodegradable paper cups. Some of our patients prefer using real ceramic mugs and we have those available as well.
Sleep Modes
Our computers and fax and copy machines are set to go into sleep mode when they are not being used.
Newsletters
We are now posting our newsletter directly onto our website instead of mailing out hard copies. This saves paper and ink as well as postage. Our newsletters are saved as PDF’s so if you would like to print one out, you can do so directly from the website. Read all of our newsletters online.
